10.  Now merge all layers except the background, (i.e. turn off the visibility of the background layer, then layers>merge visible) go to the merged layer, and with the magic wand tool, select>invert, and give Jake a drop shadow so he has some definition. How much shadow is up to you. I went with the default drop shadow settings (as you can see below). Now go to the background layer, and fill it with with either a solid colour or pattern to make Jake feel more at home ;-) Now's the time to resize Jake down a little if you need to (I resized to 75%, as shown below).

There you are, a cuddly new pet to call your own ;-)
